Fourth and Far away Fireworks.
This was our second 4th of July in Brooklyn and it also happens to be the second time since 1983 that Macy's decided to have their big fireworks show on the Hudson River instead of the East River which means... no sparks for us. Can't have it all, right? I was ready to whip Finley out of bed and go up on the roof but it was so pathetic that I didn't bother though it was kind of funny to hear the smattering of "boo!" coming various rooftops in the dark. I hope Manhattan and New Jersey enjoyed the show and that they bring it on back next year. All weekend I have been personally liberating myself from various projects that were oppressing my house and mind. Today is laundry. What we are saving in diapers we are paying out in laundry due to accidents in the night. I can quite seem to get the gist of night time potty training:( I think I will also do a make-up shift at the co-op today. Happy Holiday!

You KNOW it sista. I had my first cheddar sprout toast samich with Finley on the Q train into the city last week. She - who is becoming textbook picky scarfed that sucker down. Today (before your post:) was the second while waiting for the laundry at the playground. Next one I will try with a little a/c and limey selzter. Even Craig who is textbook picky himself loves your summer sandwich.
Those bastards at Macys, going to suck up to the west siders, why I oughta give dem one right in the kisser....
