Good Friends

Nothing like 'em. I have several and I love them like crazy. Gracie is one of my dear friends and she came all the way from Colorado to see the belly for herself... She cooked for Craig and I the whole weekend and basically spoiled us rotten. She will be back for the birth, thank the high heavens.

She came bearing gifts worth sharing: A seriously MEAN hula hoop to help me find my waist again after the fact.

And from her recent trip to Hawaii - be at our house July 4 for a barbecue in honor of this ensemble!

Speaking of Clothes.....

One of my favorite hand me downs from the terribly chic and frisky Isabella Brown (Momma Christina and Daddy Tolon). I mean, that's so cute it's stupid.

It's a Fetus Fashion Bonanza!!

It has been requested that I post some pictures of how I am dressing these days. Thanks to my sister in lawlessnes - these are my current favorites. I just received some stuff from a new neighbor that will be good for a little later... Thanks Annie, it's nice and it helps with the strangeness of this metamorphasis to feel cute.

Since we are at it..... The famous "ass kicking fetus shirt" from Craig
Christmas present from Sandy - what is better than baby tie dye??
And finally, THIS is the reality and how I spend a fair amount of each day:)

Week 24 - Belly

At the end of this week I will be six months!! Notable things are: heartburn - I didn't know what heartburn was before now. Tingling arms in the morning. Super clumsy - I drop water cups in the middle of the night and coffee cups in the morning. The good news is no stretch marks yet - hallelujah! I feel her moving more and more which is the most amazing thing. Craig felt her move for the first time the other night after he sang into the belly:)

I am not working much (however, I did a shoot for the cover of the March issue of Pregnancy and Newborn magazine on Friday:) so I have a lot of time on my hands which makes me wonder why the house is still not clean... The bathroom upstairs has been painted and the baby room is almost ready for painting. Sandy is coming up to paint a Yggdrasil tree. This was Craig's idea -it's from Norse Mythology. It's the World Tree, the Tree of Life that unites heaven and earth and holds everything together - Google it, it's really cool! The baby room is already full of great stuff thanks to some great people (Melissa! Christina!) who believe in recycling. I have also received a lot of great maternity clothes (Annie! Jacqueline!) that are saving me from having to spend a bunch of moola. Will post pics from this stuff tomorrow.

Stella Kiselwesky - January 6, 2007

Last Monday we went to the service in Queens for Craig's Grandmother Stella. She was a very strong woman who lived a long time and was ready to go. I saw this picture and was shocked to suddenly realize that I was looking at a picture of my child's great-grandmother. I am sorry she will not get to meet her, I am glad I did. Some people you can't imagine ever as a child.... What a cutie.

Week 21 - POP and Awe!

This is from a couple weeks ago when I couldn't upload photos...

Is that a look of wonder? Or stone-cold fear??

What the Blogger?

Been having lots of problems posting pictures the last few times I have tried to "Blahg" - we will try again today, maybe Blogger fixed whatever has been going on, I know I am not the only one who has been having problems. I know it's free, but I generally like to pay for this kind of aggravation....

Success!!!
This is a stray photo from the holidays. This the pear tree in our yard. That is a fake partidge with a little festive ribbon. Craig thinks it is very cheesy, I think it is funny and it makes me smile. It may have scared the real birds a little, but no real harm - he's back in the Christmas box where he will live for the next 11 monts. This one's for you, Annie.
